My name is Allison and I have always been very interested in geography, travel and of different cultures. I had always wanted to experience another culture first-hand and this past summer I got that chance. I took part in a five-week cultural exchange program to Italy that allowed me to explore much of the country and major cities, but also get to know Italians themselves by living with a host family. I started out my journey in Tuscany, where I was able to visit many cities in northern Italy such as Florence, Siena and San Gimignano. For the next four weeks I lived with a host family on the Italian island of Sicily. During my stay there I traveled all over Sicily and really developed a deep love for the Italian people.
